Stella Joyce Overton, 84, of Double Springs died Monday, March 29, 2004, at Baptist Medical Center-Walker.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m., today, April 1, 2004, at New Beginnings in Christ Church in Double Springs with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Bro. Ed Jordan will officiate. Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs is directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Overton; son, James Harold Overton; daughter, Betty Joyce Helsel; brothers, Earnest ('Son') McKeever and George McKeever; and sisters, Grace Vines, Jean Scott and Elizabeth Bowden.
She is survived by her sons, Noah Overton and Elzie Overton, both of Double Springs; daughter, Jean Kilgore of Jasper; sister, Vera (Dot) Woodard of Jasper; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Bailey, Jonathan Ward, Michael Tidwell, Bobby Lee Kilgore; Paul Helsel III and Scott Gower.
