Mr. Barnett was a longtime resident of the Coast. He enjoyed watching football, baseball, and other sports on T.V. He was a member of Larue Baptist Church.
Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Drew Barnett.
Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife of 37 years, Joan Noble Barnett of Vancleave; two sons, Greg Barnett of Vancleave and Gary Barnett of Perkinston; a sister, Betty Cannette of Biloxi; two brothers, Clovis Barnett of Eupora, MS and Roland Barnett of Ocean Springs; and five grandchildren, Clint and Gracie Barnett, and Gary, Jr., Tristan and Noah Barnett.
Mr. Barnett was a resident of Ocean Springs Nursing Center and was a favorite of both the staff and other residents. He was thought highly of and will be missed by all.
Services will be Friday, December 1, 2006 at Noon at the Larue Baptist Church, friends may visit from 10:00am until service time. Burial will follow in Swetman Cemetery.
