Brass and copper Manufactor. He married Maria Louisa Brownell on 28 May 1851 in Hartford CT. He was an ardent admirer of Daniel Webster, and, in 1876, presented to New York city the impressive bronze statue of Webster, heroic size, which was erected in Central Park. To Bishop Brownell, of Connecticut, he also erected a bronze statue in Hartford; and he had his own monument in Greenwood built before his death.
