Ladema Grace Barnett, 59, of Three Springs R.D. 1, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, 1977, in the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg. She had been in failing health for two years.

A native of Dublin Mills, she was born Jan. 20, 1918, to Elmer and Nellie (Yingling) Knepper.

She was twice married: first to William Kerlin of Hustontown: on June 8, 1946, she married Carl Barnett, Sr., of Coalmont, who preceded her in death on July 31, 1966.

The following children survive: Merrill E. Kerlin, McConnellsburg; Mrs. Clarence (Barbara) Cutchall, Three Springs R.D. 1; Carl Barnett, Jr., Saxton; Mrs. David (LaVonna) Pittman, Three Springs R.D. 1; Mrs. John (Nellie) Jack, Three Springs R.D. 1; Elmer Barnett, Three Springs R.D. 1; and Glenn Barnett, Everett R.D. 2. Four children are deceased. There are nine grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers: Charles Knepper and Arley Knepper, both of Three Springs R.D. 1. A brother is deceased.

Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Meadow Green Bible Protestant Church.

She belonged to Trough Creek Grange No. 444; Frances Rebekah Lodge No. 578 of Three Springs; and the Southern Huntingdon County Republican Women.

She was formerly employed at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, and Sagner, Inc., McConnellsburg.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, from the Raymond W. Ott Funeral Home, Orbisonia. The Rev. John Hodge, her pastor, and the Rev. George Howard, pastor of the McConnellsburg Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Center Cemetery, Hustontown R.D.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow until the hour for the service.

Frances Rebekah No. 578 will hold a memorial service at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday.
