She worked for many years as a crossing guard at Fairplains Elementary School, and was a member of the Auxiliary Police. She was Baptist by Faith. She and her husband were known as the Melody Ramblers and sang together on the radio, TV, and different clubs in the area.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Roy Bailey, daughter Amanda Phillps of Manassas, VA; four grandchildren Wesley, Kyle, Erica, and Kristen; and a sister-in-law Reva Hupp of Parkersburg.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Bailey Green.
Services will be Wednesday 1:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Reva Hupp officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery South. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
