She was born in East Liverpool, OH on February 15, 1917, a daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Monty) Guinn.
Living her entire life in the area, Mrs. Starr retired from Hall China Company where she had worked as an accountant for 30 years. She graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1934, was a member of Older Americans, a charter member of East Liverpool High School Alumni Association and had attended the Ceramic Senior Center. Mrs. Starr had been a member of the First Baptist Church for 64 years and attended Oakland Free Methodist Church.
Her husband, Leslie W. Starr, whom she married October 22, 1939 died on March 16, 1986.
Two brother-in-laws, Harry Starr of Texas and Charles Starr of Cadiz, a sister-in-law, Fern McCoy of Aliquippa, PA, 2 nieces, Marilyn Boso and Mardene Boso, both of East Liverpool, OH and several other nieces and nephews survive her.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred M. Boso and a sister-in-law, Myrtle Thompson.
Services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes with Pastor Robert Witherow of Oakland Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery
