Richard "Ritchie" Allen Hancock, 21, of Clendenin passes away Tuesday, September 9, 2008, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Ritchie was born January 2, 1987, in Charleston to Henry L. Hancock Jr. and Diana Hancock.He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Henry L. Hancock Sr. and Euretha Hancock; half brother, Mario Santoro; uncle, Kenneth Hancock; aunt, Eva Whatley; and special cousin, Sam Hancock Jr.Besides his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Richard and Ruth Johnson of St. Albans; daughter, McKenzie Lynn of Charleston; loving fiancée, Jenny Cobb; stepson, Scottie of Clendenin; half sister, Danielle Johnson of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Henry L. Hancock III; sister, Sarah Hancock and companion, Johnny Twheatt of Clay County; sisters, Mary Ashton and Chelsey Hancock, both of Charleston; nieces, Madison and Jaslyn; twenty uncles and aunts; numerous cousins; and a host of friends that will miss Ritchie and hold him in their hearts forever.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2008, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Robert Underwood officiating. Burial will follow at Cobb's Cemetery, Clendenin.Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Hancock Family, 102 Myrtle Tree Rd., South Charleston, WV 25309.
