MERIDEN - It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Jo-Anne, 42, who passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 8, 2005.
Jo-Anne worked at Wal-Mart Optical Shops in Cromwell and Wallingford. She was greatly valued by customers and co-workers alike.
She was a caring friend and loving aunt and will be missed by her cat, Mr. B; and her nieces and nephews, Stas, Stephanie, Mallorie, Danny, Erin, Justin, Ian, Jenna and Bobby; Jo-Anne leaves behind her mother, Marilyn Alexander; four brothers and sisters, Butch, Danny, Mary and Dianne. She was predeceased by her father, Stanley P. Gura, Jr.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Friday, March 11, at 6 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, prior to the service, from 3 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
