Carrie was the daughter of Jacob (1841-1909) and Elizabeth 'Eliza' Geiss (1847-1916) Young.

Carrie's siblings (12): William Michael Young (1868-1963); John Frederick Young (1869-1962); Elizabeth Christina 'Lizzie' Michelfelder (1871-1963); Anna Mary Dehne (1872-1939); Bertha Julia 'Bert' Fouts (1974-1956); Christian Francis 'Christy' 'Frank' Young (1876-1945); Catherine Louisa 'Kate' Drinkut (1878-1938); Lolo (nmn) Eckel (1880-1963); Susan Leona 'Leo' Akard (1884-1932); Florence Magdeline 'Maggie' Maloney (1885-1964); Emma Helena Young (1888-1896) and Georgia Henrietta Akard (1890-1974).

She had tuberculosis when she married.

Carrie was tired and asked Lolo to lay down by her - even though Lolo was leary to do so. Carrie never got up - she died beside Lolo. Carrie died of tuberculosis.

She died at age 23 years 1 month 14 days.
