Joshua Texas: Betty Joy Hardin McClure, 80, a homemaker, of Joshua, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008, in the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Betty was born September 30, 1927 in Ranger to Luther Joseph and Mary Vila Mace Hardin. She married Delbert Dale McClure on May 17, 1946 in Fort Worth.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Joshua, the Order of Eastern Star, the Joshua Chamber of Commerce, and was a Girl Scout Leader for many years.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years; a brother, Bud Hardin, and a sister, Wanda Rouse.
Survivors include son, David Dale McClure and wife, Kathy, of Joshua; daughters, Cynthia Lee Easton of Joshua and Kathie Anne Teuscher of Houston; brothers, Bill Hardin and wife, Jo, of Joshua, Darrell Hardin and wife, Madge, of Fort Worth; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous other family members and many friends.
