Herman C. Key, 55, of 421 North Harrison Street, died at 11 p.m. at Rush Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted Monday morning. Mr. Key was a former employee of Philco Ford in Connersville, retiring from there in the fall of last year after working 30 years. Born in Crawford, Tennessee, on September 8, 1921, he was the son of Carson and Pearly Key. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy and had lived most of his life in Rushville. He was married to Thelma Pea on June 19, 1946. She preceded him in death June 18, 1976. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Cheryl) Ervine of Rushville, Mrs. Michael (Karen) Skiles, also of Rushville, and Miss Linda Key at home; two brothers Thurman Key of Anderson and Jesse Key of California; two sisters Mrs. Maxine Johnson of Anderson and Mrs. Charles Lucille Muller of Gary; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, one brother, and one sister.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. at Moster and Sons Mortuary in Rushville where friends my call after 3 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Charles Justice will officiate the service and burial will be in East Hill cemetery, Rushville
