When she married Albert H Baker she moved to Everman, Tarrant Co, TX.

Mrs. Grace Madeline Bridges was born in 1872, state unknown, and died in Everman, Texas in 1981. She married a Mr. Albert Baker and lived in Oklahoma (Indian territory). They traveled to Tarrant Co., Texas in 1913 in a covered wagon. They came to Barron Field where Canadian pilots were trained for WWI. They provided services for the pilots such as boarding and supplies. They bought a barracks from the field and bought land to farm in the city of Everman. They became leading citizens of Everman and provide the roadways and water supply for the Baker addition. They created the Baker Addition for the purpose of providing land for young couples to build their first home. Ms. Baker had the first washateria in Everman, sold eggs, milk and chickens; she designed hats and was a dress maker.
She was a charitable, intelligent, compassionate and strong person. She was the Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Senior Citizen of the year in Tarrant County, a church leader, Sunday school teacher, and piano player at church, sang in the choir, and cooked for the farm hands that helped with their harvest. She and her husband were highly respected citizens of Everman, Texas.
She took in the orphans of George and Curly Lee (sister of Albert Baker) at different periods of their lives. They helped raise the children of Lloyd and Mary Lee of Everman, Texas. The children were raised as grandchildren and loved her accordingly. They took in Ms. Juanita Lee during here senior years of high school and loved her as her own.
When she married Albert H Baker she moved to Everman, Tarrant Co, TX.
