Lucién Thériault of Chaleur Street, Charlo passed away at the Georges-Dumont Hospital, Moncton from complications due to kidney failure.

He was born in Edmundston on July 14, 1916 and was a son of the late Esther Gagné and Eugéne Thériault. (Border crossing records show his place of birth as Connor, NB) Lucien spent most of his life in the United States, but always returned to Canada to visit family and friends. He never lost his ability to speak French. He had attended school at the Maryvale Seminary (Juniorate of the Marist Fathers) in Bedford, Mass.

He was a Catholic and a retired machinist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Lucien also enjoyed a good practical joke -- whether giving or receiving.

Lucien married first Rita I Morneau (1 Jul 1940 in Lewiston, Maine). His second wife was Barbara Ann Lee (Salem, Massachusetts). His third wife was Robertine Carrier.

He is survivied by his wife Robertine (nee Carrier) Theriault, his daughters Barbara Lee Chagnon (Donald) of Claremont, New Hampshire, Catherine Stafford of Nashville, Tennessee; his son Lucien J. Thériault (Barbara) of Peterborough, New Hampshire; his grandsons Robert Thériault (Sue) of Florida, Kenneth Thériault (Chris) of New Hampshire and William Thériault of Maine; his great-grand-daughter Kristi Lee Chagnon and great-grandsons John and Brent Thériault.

A funeral service was held at Saint Trinite church in Eel River Crossing on November 22. Pallbearers were Bruno Carrier, William Hickey, Leo Harquail, Eugene Berthelotte, Ernest Berthelotte and Gilles Fournier.
