Galena, Kan. - Georgia Belle Adams, 89 - 800 Wall Street died at 2:10 P.M. Thursday at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, MO after a short illness.
Mrs. Adams was born June 9, 1906 in Missouri, she moved to Galena from Baxter Springs about 53 years ago, she worked seven years at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, retiring in 1966. She was a Pentecostal.
She married Clem Wade Adams on Dec 27 1922 at Miami, Okla. He died Sept. 15, 1969.
Survivors include a daughter Mildred Barnard, Quapaw, Okla, a brother, John Comer, State of California, two sisters, Flora Seybold, Webb City, MO and Dell Williams, Wichita; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, Kan. The Rev. Floyd Barnard will officiate. Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery, Lowell, Kan.
Pallbearers will be Darrel Clouse, Terry Tramell, Lloyd Wayne Barnard, Roger Barnard, Michael Adams and Lloyd Barnard
