Memorial Rites For Mrs. Proffitt Set For Sunday
Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Proffitt, 63, of RFD 5, Valparaiso, who died unexpectedly Wednesday evening in her home, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Sunday in the LePell funeral home.
The decedent, a life-long resident of Porter county, was born Dec. 4, 1885, and was married to John Proffitt, Sr., in South Bend.
Surviving are her husband, John; six sons, John, Jr., of Chicago, Elmer, of Gary, Arthur, Waldo and Harlen of Valparaiso, and Robert, serving with the army at Camp Campbell, Ky.; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Thomas of Northbrook, Ill., Mrs. Hazel Highlan and Bertha Irwin, both of Valparaiso; a brother, Daniel Schellinger, RFD 5, Valparaiso, and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the LePell funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening and until services Sunday. Burial will be in Kimball cemetery, Liberty township.
