David Schellinger, 78, RFD 5 died at 9:45 a.m. today in Porter Memorial hospital. The body wa taken to the Wetmore Funeral home where funeral services are pending.

SCHELLINGER RITES
Services for Daniel E. Schellinger, 78, RFD 5, who died Friday in Porter Memorial hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Wetmore Funeral home with the Rev. Percy Thomas, First Christian church, officiating.
Burial will be in Kimball cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and after 2 p.m. Sunday until time of services.
Born in Center township, Porter county, March 18, 1884, he was the son of Jesse B. and Elizabeth (Soliday) Schellinger. On Nov. 20, 1906, in Valparaiso, he married Mary Bentley, who survives.
Surviving besides the widow are three sons, Ralph, Council Bluff, Ia., Robert, Chesterton, and Jesse, Oakland, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Ruth) Cuson and Mrs. Francis (Nell) Spencer, of Valparaiso; Mrs. Martha (Edward) Reich, Neillsville, Wis., and Mrs. Carl (Ethel) Hedges, Michigan City; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded n death by one daughter, three sisters and one brother.
