Robert Leslie, residing in Springfield, died yesterday afternoon at St. John's hospital as the result of injuries suffered in a street car accident.
Leslie was attempting to board a car shortly after noon. His feet slipped from the steps and he was thrown on the pavement. An ambulance was summoned immediately and the injured man was removed to St. John's hospital. Early in the afternoon the attending physician gave up all hope of recovery as the man was in a weak condition. He died a few hours later.
Leslie is a carpenter and is well known in this city where he had resided for a number of years. He is survived by his wife and four children.
