As I come near the end of my journey, near the end of my road on this earth,
As I look o're the road I have traveled, do I see anything of real worth?
As I see how I dealt with my neighbor, I am sure he will call me his friend,
For whenever he needed a favor, I have always been ready to lend.
Thus, I figure my life's inventory in true friends, of more value than gold and although I know not what's before me, a great peace and good faith I still hold.
