Miss Cassie Abbott Dead
Miss Catherine Abbott died very suddenly at her home yesterday morning of apoplexy. She was 55 years old and is survived by a sister Lucy and a brother Robert Miner Abbott of Iowa. Miss Abbott was a first cousin of Hon. Charles A Miner and cousin of the late Rev. William P. Abbott who became a distinguished divine. Her mother, the venerable Hannah C Abbott died two years ago at the ripe old age of 94. Miss Abbott was a member of the first M. E. church and a teacher in the Sunday school. The funeral will be held when the brother arrives from the West, probably Wednesday afternoon. Date: 1894-04-09; Paper: Wilkes-Barre Times
