Our beloved passed away after a long illness, on September 15, 2008, in Murrieta, Calif. She was born April 5, 1921, in Pilger, Neb., to Julius and Agnes (Jones) Lloyd Schiff. Ann attended school and worked with a nursing facility in Omaha, Neb. During World War II she worked with ship companies building ships on Swan Island, Ore., and Bethlehem Steel in California. She also worked with McConnell Douglas, Boeing Aircraft Company as a material analysis in Long Beach, Calif.
William A. Lindner, Justice of the Peace of Papillion, Neb., father of Bill, married Ann and William Lloyd "Bill" Lindner on June 17, 1941. She was a member of the Artesia, Calif., and Tehachapi, Calif., Order of Eastern Star.
Preceding Ann in death was her husband William L. Lindner, siblings James H. and Ethel Lloyd, Arthur A. Schiff, Ellen and Walt Weimer Anderson, Carl L. and Mary Schiff.
Ann will be missed by Lloyd Lewis and family, her children; Mavis Ann Walker, Kathy Ely, William A. Lindner, grandchildren, Shon and Scotti Walker, Cody and Monique Walker, Terri Arnold Reagan, Gilbert and Marie Ely-Valenzuela, Ryan Ely; great- grandchildren; Desiree, Kayley and Megan Walker, Amanda Arnold Snyder, Matthew and Elizabeth Arnold, Richard Reagan, Alexis and Savanah Valenzuela; great-great- grandchildren; Lillian and Emerald Arnold and several nieces and nephews who knew Ann would be there from (sic) them.
Arrangements have been made by Evans-Brown Mortuaries in Sun City, Calif. The Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2008, at the Riverside National Cemetery, where Ann will join her husband Bill. Also there will be another service in California City, on September 26, 2008, at 2 p.m.
