Mr. John Forrest Clonts, Jr., age 79, of Woodbury, Georgia, formerly of Powder Springs, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2005. He was born in Fulton County, the son of the late John Forrest and Esther Babb Clonts. He was the Industrial Arts Coordinator for Fulton County Public Schools. He was a Navy Veteran, having served in WWII. He was a member of McEachern United Methodist Church, a charter member of the West Cobb Lions Club, American Legion in Powder Springs, a member of Springville Lodge #153 F. and A.M., NRA, American Motorcycle Association and the Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Susan Clonts of Villa Rica grandchildren, David Clonts and Kasey Clonts, both of Villa Rica; brother, Sam Babb Clonts of Oakridge, NC.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. from the McEachern United Methodist Church Chapel.
The Interment followed in Macland Cemetery.
Bellamy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
