Julia Matilda (Shedden) Taylor was the daughter of Bushrod Washington and Esther (Rood) Shedden. She was the wife of Rev. Henry Boardman Taylor. Rev. Taylor was a minister in the Troy Conference/Southern Illinois Conference and Central Illinois Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died January 30, 1893.
