Born in New York. Father was John Dryer. Married Hugh M. Armstrong on June 3, 1830 in Sangamon County. Aged 93 years.

Died, June 27 [sic], 1906, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Callahan, at Rising City, Neb., Mrs. L. M. Armstrong, aged 94 years.

The remains will arrive in this city tomorrow morning, accompanied by her son, J. D. Armstrong, and will be taken to the residence of her son, A. H. Armstrong, North Fourth street.

Mrs. Armstrong was one of the pioneers of this county, coming here when she was 10 years old. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dryer and removed to Springfield with her parents from New York.

She was married to L. M. Armstrong in this city and resided here for sixty-five years. She left this city twenty-three years ago and made her home at Batavia. Later she again moved to Rising City, at which place Mr Armstrong died two years ago.

The decedent was the last of the charter members of the Second Presbyterian church of this city, of which she was an active member.

Mrs. Armstrong is survived by four children, A. H. Armstrong of this city; J. D. Armstrong, Waterloo, Ia.; Mrs. Cynthia Hollingsworth, Ames, Ia., and Mrs. Julia Callaghan, Rising City, Neb.
