Richard L. Gray of Norwalk passed away Friday, September 19, 2008, at the Norwalk Hospital at the age of 77. He was born January 13, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY and lived most of his life in Norwalk. He was retired from the Valerie Trucking Company. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, receiving many medals; including two Purple hearts, a Silver Star and three Bronze Stars. He was an avid Giants fan and enjoyed sharing Sunday games with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his son Joseph Gray and his wife Jennifer D. Gray of bethel, daughter Hope Gray-Tamucci and her husband Dr. Jeff Tamucci of Norwalk, and son Eric Gray and his wife Jennifer A. Gray of Norwalk, eight grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Brianna Gray, Maurice and Angel Rodriguez, Kyle Tamucci, Kristy, Austin and Michael Gray, his former wife Dorothy Everson of Norwalk, brother Stanley Gray and his wife Helen of Bridgeport, sister Eileen Wilson of Devon, and several nieces and nephews.

Services with military honors will be held Friday, September 26, 7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM. As a Korean War Hero with several distinguished Medals of Honor, Richard will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Haven Veteran's Hospital, 950 Campbell Ave., West Haven, CT, 06516.
