Mrs. Emma H. Ruhl, eighty-two, wife of Philip H. Ruhl, died at 12:15 p.m. yesterday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Miller M. Hess, Mount Joy R2. Death followed an illness of several years. Born in Rapho Township, a daughter of the late Samuel H. and Annie Hernley Snavely, she was a life-long resident of the area. She was a member of Mount Joy Mennonite Church. Besides her husband, five sons and daughters survive: Mrs. Eva R. Miller, Elizabethtown R2; Arthur S., Mount Joy R1; Almeda R., wife of Miller M. Hess, Mount Joy R2, with whom she resided; Signor F., Mount Joy; and Emma, wife of James Brubaker, Covington, KY. There also survive 17 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister, Annie, wife of Harry Heisey, Hershey R1. (Lancaster New Era - Apr 7, 1956)
