Gareld L. Sosbe, 55 of 55 Mt.Vernon drive, died thursday in parkview Hospital Toledo.

He was a maintenance worker for 33 years for the former Toledo Pickling Steel Corp., which closed in1983. Then he worked in lawn maintenance three years for Lucas County Recreation Center, retiring in 1987 due to illness.

During the 1970s, he was a member of Waterville Fire Department. From 1984 through 1988, he was a member of the Lucas County Central Committee Precinct 1 for the Democratic party.

A Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he was a member of the Whitehouse Post of the American Legion and the Maumee Eagles, and he belonged to the North American Swiss Alliance.

He was born April 10, 2932 to Mr. and Mrs. Gareld Sosbe (Margaret Roach). He married Ursula Ciebly.

Entombment will be in Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
