Barbara was born in Swainsboro, Ga., on October 23, 1940, the daughter of James McLemore and Rachel Hall McLemore.
She owned and operated Pete's Restaurant and Lounge with her husband.
Surviving are one son, LCDR Ellis Gregory Davis, USCG, and his wife Kaye of Houston, TX; one daughter, Catherine Davis Thompson and her husband CWO3 Andy Thompson, USCG, of Suffolk, Va.; one brother, Sherrod McLemore of Garden City, Ga.; two sisters, Dianne DuBois of Gyton, Ga., and Tanya Berry of Hardeeville, S.C.; three granddaughters, Lauren and Courtney Thompson and Chelsea Davis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, S.C. 29406.
