MENA — Meatus Bisbee, 89, of Mena died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, in her home. She was born Oct. 30, 1918, in Howard County. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ. She was the daughter of The late Mark and Altha Cook Smedley.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove Church of the Nazarene with burial at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by a daughter, Lavell Martello of Brooksville, Fla.; two sons, Billy Chambers of Dallas and Sherrel Chambers of Mena; four sisters, Gwen Fulton, Pat Couch, Bonnie Johnston and Wanda Mulholand; two brothers, Ray and Bobby Smedley; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
