A Republican who served his party and community as a constable for one term. He was a farmer.

Van Nattan, N. A., died at midnight Saturday, April 7, 1917, at Springfield hospital, at the age of 74 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clara A. VanNattan; two daughters, Mrs. Maggie Dunlap and Mrs. Mary Gregory, and one son, J. A. VanNattan.
