Everett J. Hess of Milton-Freewater passed away July 6, 20000, at his home; he was 61. At his request, there will be no service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walla Walla Community Hospice though the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home.
Hess was born Aug. 12, 1938, in Milton-Freewater, the son of John and Helen Aichele Hess. He grew up and attended schools in Milton-Freewater. After his schooling, he began working in the construction business and help to build the dams in the Huntington, Ore. area. In 1962, he began working for the City of Milton-Freewater where he was an electrical lineman. He retired after 30 years of service o the city.
ON Jan. 9, 1988, he married Carol Torres in Walla Walla, Wash. After his retirement, the couple enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed fixing things and doing handyman chores. He also spent a great deal of time picking fruits and vegetables.
Survivors include his wife, at home; three daughters, Nancy Luedke of Spokane, Wash., Debbie Kasuga of Cheney, Wash., Barbara Kimura of Mililani, Hawaii; two step-sons, Jarrod Torres of Seattle, Wash., Dion Torres of Walla Walla; his mother, Helen Robinson, of Pendleton, ore.; three sisters, Erline Hahn of Sandpoint, Idaho, Evelyn Brolliar of California, Agnes Hess of Pendleton, Ore.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
