Jeannie I. Bishop
1949-2004

Jeannie Irene Bishop, 55, of rural Burns died March 27 at United Medical Center-West.

She was born in rural Laramie County on Feb. 11, 1949, to Delores Staples Myers and Clifford Earl Myers.

She attended school in Egbert until the fourth grade, when she went to Burns, where she graduated in 1967.

She attended the University of Wyoming for a semester and then went to work at Clinical Laboratories in Cheyenne.

Jeannie married Robert Lee Bishop of Burns on April 18, 1970, at the Methodist Church in Pine Bluffs.

The attendance at the wedding was small because of a heavy snowstorm that happened the night before.

The couple lived in Casper from the time of their marriage until May 1981, when they returned to the Bishop farm, north of Burns.

Their three children were born in Casper, where Jeannie enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, bowling and playing fast-pitch softball. She worked for Warby Enterprises, Burns Co-op and McIntyre's Garden Center. For the last four years, she worked as a certified nurse aide at Life Care of Cheyenne. She also enjoyed helping with the farm, playing golf and being around the grandchildren.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, Lee Bishop; oldest daughter, Debbie Morgan and husband Tom and grandsons Kaleb and Tyler; a son, Clint Bishop and wife CodiAnn and grandson Braxton; and youngest daughter, Becky Bishop; her mother, Delores Myers; two brothers, Clifford Myers of Cheyenne and Gary Myers of Phoenix; and a sister, Theresa Williams of Cheyenne.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Myers in 1983.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Schrader Chapel with Jim Brown officiating. Interment will be in Burns Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Debbie Morgan, Clint Bishop, Becky Bishop, Cliff Myers, Gary Myers, Keith Hopkins, Tom Morgan and Codi Ann Bishop.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kaleb Morgan, Tyler Morgan and Braxton Bishop.
