RAYMOND NAPPER was a member of the Carpenters Union for over 42 years died Tuesday, March 23, 2004. He was 64. Mr. Napper was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, and lived in Castro Valley for over 37 years, before moving to Placerville 2 1/2 years ago. He spent 3 years in the Navy as a seabee. He also was a member of Carpenters Local 713, Alameda County for over 42 years before retiring. He built many commercial buildings throughout Northern California, including the Danville Livery. He was devoted to his family, and loved salmon fishing, gambling trips to Lake Tahoe, and was a lifelong season ticket holder for the Oakland Raiders. He is survived by a daughter Shelley, Napper of Hayward; a son, Kevin Napper of San Ramon; a daughter-in-law, Rina Napper; three grandchildren, Justin, Ashley and Nicole. Private services will be held for a celebration of his life. Donations in his name can be made to the American Cancer Society 800-227-2345.
