Milton Heritage, aged 24 years and six months, a former resident of Springfield, was killed in a railroad wreck near Fort Scott Kans., Friday. Mr. Heritage was for some time employed at James' candy store and was well known. He left Springfield five years ago and accepted a position as fireman on the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul railroad.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. F. E. Harris of Spokane, Wash. The remains arrived at Springfield early yesterday morning. The funeral will take place from the undertaking parlors of Smith Bros. this afternoon. The remains will be interred in Oak Ridge cemetery. Mr. Heritage was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and also of Damascus court, Tribe of Ben Hur.
