James B. Moore, 85, retired coal miner and a native of Springfield, died suddenly at 5 p.m. yesterday (01/15/1936) in St. Louis, apparently the victim of a heart attack. For the past 10 years Mr. Moore had made his home in St. Louis with his daughter Mrs. J.G. Ambrose at whose residence his death occurred.
Remains will be removed tomorrow evening to the residence of a grandson, James B. Moore III, 912 South Fifteenth Street where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev John B. Franz will officiate and burial will be made in Calvary Cemetery.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. J. G. Ambrose, St. Louis; four sons, Stephen, St. Louis; Joseph, Springfield, William, Chicago; and James, Buffalo; thirty grandchildren, and thrity five great-grandchildren.
