Pfc. Doyle R. Holt, killed in the battle for Saipan, Oct. 27, 1944, is the first soldier reported in the current effort to compile a complete and accurate list of all service men who have lost their lives in World War II. Pfc. Holt was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claud B. Holt, 409 F street southeast. The Holts have four other sons in military service: Cyril, guard at a Jap internment camp, Phoenix, Ariz.; Hoyle, twin of Doyle, army air forces in the south Pacific; H. B., U. S. N., in the Hawaiian islands when last heard from, and L. E., recently inducted in the army at Fort Sill. Cyril tops the list with five years service record. Mr. and Mrs. Holt also have three daughters; Christine Cross, El Dorado, Ark.; Onita Allen, Ardmore, and Geneva Cole, Phoenix, Ariz. The son, Doyle, had been in the infantry three years. His wife, the former Geneva Jones, resides at Lawton.
