Ernest "Bud" Barker

Ernest "Bud" Barker, 78, of Foxridge Court died at 10:15 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2001, at Columbus Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He retired in 1987 as a truck driver for Stone Container where he worked for 12 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Garden City Church of Christ and an avid camper and fisherman.
A private memorial service will be at a later date with the Rev. Stuart Schulz officiating. Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home.
Born in Columbus April 27, 1923, Mr. Barker was the son of Ernest and Josephine Sanford Barker. He married Bernadine B. Davis April 13, 1941. She survives.
Also surviving are sons, Steven and Brian Barker, both of Columbus; a sister, Linda Branum of Columbus; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Barker; and sisters, Eva King, Pauline Burton, Jamie Shafer and Evelyn Fowler.
