She was born September 28, 1900 at Doland to Fred and Martha (Tubandt) Paul. She attended country school and later attended seamstress school in Aberdeen with her sister-in-law, Grace Paul.
On March 1, 1922, she married Arthur Dennis at Watertown. He died May 16, 1957. The couple lived and farmed near Doland until the mid-1940's when they moved to town. While in Doland, she worked for the Times Record and served as a cook at the school. After her husband's death, she moved to Mitchell where she worked as a cook at Dakota Wesleyn University. After 10 years in Mitchell, she moved back to Doland for a short time and then moved to Huron.
She was a member of the kitchen band, senior citizens and the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting and most of all, playing cards.
