Audrey A. Stidham, 79, of Piggott, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at the Piggott Community Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 14, 1928, in Nimmons, the daughter of the late James Henry and Laura Elizabeth (Howell) Broadway.

She was united in marriage to W.C. "Bill" Stidham on Dec. 30, 1950, and the couple had three daughters.

Her husband, Willie "Bill" Stidham, preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Harold, Bobby Joe, and Royal Broadway and her sister, Helen Cooper.

Survivors include her three daughters, Linda Ort and husband Fred of Piggott, Regeana Vavak and husband Jeff of Piggott, and Sharon Gunter and husband Bruce of Russellville; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Laura and Annette Ort, Emily, Elizabeth, Hillary and J.P. Vavak, and Brice and Craig Gunter; five sisters, Betty Ann Broadway of Piggott, Marilyn Stokes of Piggott, Joan Russell of Pontiac, Mich., Donna Clifton of Wappapello, Mo., and Joyce Murphy of Puxico, Mo.. along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Gary Laughlin and Danny Fudge officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Russell, Tim Broadway, Roger Stokes, Ray Cato, Craig Broadway and Brice Scott. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Broadway, Barry Broadway and Mark Book. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
