Mrs Lee Barnes Moore, widow of the late Charles Warren Moore, died at her residence at Junction City Monday morning following a illness of about 4 weeks.
Mrs Moore was injured in an auto accident at Upatoi on October 10, in which her husband was killed instantly. Lee was born Sept 5, 1874, the daughter of Wade Hampton Barnes of Talbot Co., in which she lived her entire life. She was widely known throughout the state as a church worker and wife of the man who built Junction City. Mrs Moor's death came as a shock as she had been reported on the road to recovery.
Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs W W newton, Atlanta; Mrs W G Johnson, Thomaston; and Mrs John Cozart, Columbus; a son, Mr R L Moore; Junction City; five sisters, Mrs Mae Butler; Chase City, VA; Mrs Lola Williamson, Atlanta; Mrs Annie Moore, Talbot Co; Mrs Mary Blithe, Junction City; and Mrs Ethleen Greene, Ft Valley; and one brother, W H Barnes, Birmingham, AL.
Funeral Services were held at the Junction City Baptist Church, of which she was a member, Wednesday morning 11 o'clock with the Rev D E Donnahoo assisted by Rev E H Dunn officiating. Interment was in the Junction City Cemetery.
