She was born Aug. 5, 1909, in Newton, Kansas, the daughter of George Thomas Warhurst, Sr. & Nellie May Ragland. She graduated from Newton High School in 1927 and married Eldon Usher March 17, 1929, in McPherson, Kansas. She and Eldon had three children, a daughter, Juanita; and two sons, Ronald and Donald.
She worked for both Lynch and Frontier Shoe stores. She and Eldon were active in the Masonic Lodge while residing in Newton. After the death of her husband, she moved to California to be near her children.
She retired as book room clerk at Neff High School in 1974. Since suffering a stroke in 1992, she resided with her daughter. Her hobbies include reading and crocheting.
Her children and their spouses: Juanita and Ruel Wagner, Ronald and Judy Usher and Donald and Aida Usher.
She had seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren
