KEWANEE -- Sheldon C. Headley, 75, of 301 Lyle St. died at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1993, at Kewanee Hospital. Born May 31, 1918, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Jesse [Sheldon] and Faye Filson Headley, he married Lois Wheeler on Oct. 14, 1940, in Nashua, Iowa. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Dixie Lee Catton and Mrs. Thomas (Beverly) Pitzer, both of Kewanee, and Mrs. Patrick (Carol) Hansen of Breese; one son, Dr. David of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Herb (Sandy) Silldorff of Metamora, and Mrs. Henry (Mildred) Overlander and Mrs. Deane (Nola) Harlan, both of Stockport, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was a meat cutter at Zang's Market and Rashid's Grocery. He also was a manager at Kroger. He was a maintenance engineer at Illinois Power for 23 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kewanee.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Rux Funeral Home. The Rev. Dale Kooi will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery in Princeville.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or his church.
