PRINCEVILLE -- Laura Joyce Hill, 72, of 416 Hilltop Drive, Champaign, formerly of Princeville, died at 6:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. Born April 29, 1931, in Princeville to Sanford and Helen Miller White, she married James R. Hill on Nov. 21, 1954, in Champaign. He died Jan. 21, 1988. She also was preceded in death by one brother. Surviving are two sons, Keith of Fisher and Larry of Clinton, Ind.; and five grandchildren.

She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois with a master's degree in mathematics. She was a member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association. A member of the Retired Teachers Association, she had been a high school teacher.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Champaign.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Morgan Memorial Home in Savoy. Friends may call on the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Princeville Township Cemetery.
