From an old newspaper clipping, dates and paper unknown: Lucius H. Hutchinson, 81, died Wednesday night at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, following an extended illness. He was born at Harper, Kan., Aug. 26, 1886 and came to Conway Springs in 1891. He was engaged in farming and worked as a painter and paper hanger. He was married to Faye Fullerton Sept. 1, 1912 and they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this month. Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Veva J. Dunscomb, Wichita, Mrs. Fredda Misner, Pine, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Annie Emmons, Turlock, Calif.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ebersole Chapel, Conway Springs. The Rev. Everett J. Vaughan, Methodist minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Conway Springs Cemetery.
