She married the Rev Thomas Jefferson Whitaker on 17 Oct 1866 in Deposit, Delaware Co, NY, son of Benjamin Whitaker, Jr and Clarissa M. Hulce.
Rev Whitaker and Helen had two children: Clarissa 1867 and Herbert W 1874.
Helen died on 07 Apr 1888 at the Buffalo State Hospital for the Insane, Buffalo, Erie Co, NY. She committed suicide by jumping from a forth floor window, after assisting a nurse in setting up the hall for Sunday Services.
