HOOKSETT -- Charles "Chuck" Thomas Cole, 77, died Sept. 28, 2008, at a local hospital.

He was born March 26, 1931, in Holyoke, Mass., to Charles L. and Annie (Connor) Cole. A former Springfield, Mass., resident, he graduated from Technical High School in 1948 and earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree in business administration from American International College.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He was employed at Insurance Company of North America for 10 years, then relocated to New Hampshire, where he spent 25 years with New Hampshire Insurance Company.

He was a former member of Union Congregational Church, Springfield, and had been a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Manchester for the past 32 years.

IN HIS LIFE: He leaves his loving wife of 55 years, Doris (Richter) Cole; five children, Susan Guerrette and her husband, Gary, of Broadbrook, Conn., Dori Wilbert of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Ruth-Ellen Demers and her husband, Alain, of Pembroke, Charles Cole and his wife, Cha Chi Fan, of Prince Frederick, Md., and Jonathan Cole and his wife, Susan, of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.

He was a loving grandfather to Christopher, Tommy, Emily and Anna Guerrette, Danielle and Christina Wilbert, Brianna and Brendan Demers, Haley, Connor and Eleanor Cole, and Jonathan Jr., Zachary and Benjamin Cole. He also leaves a sister, Ann Dodson, and her husband, Charles, of Fort Myers, Fla. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ellen Brown and Alice Hickland.
