CHARLES B. CUMMINS JR.
FAIRHOPE - Charles B. Cummins Jr., a native of Lima, Ohio, and a resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at a local health-care facility. He was 72.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairhope.
Before retirement, Cummins had been employed by McDermott International in New Orleans and Raymond International in Houston as an offshore construction worker.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Cummins of Fairhope; a daughter, Andrea Baker of Summerdale; a sister, Anne M. Lanham of Lenora, N.C.; two brothers, James D. Cummins of Union City, Calif., and Jerry A. Cummins of Ono Island; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel and burial will take place in Colony Cemetery in Fairhope.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Fairhope or the Sheriff's Boys and Girls Ranch.
Funeral arrangements are by Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
