Daisy Louise Batson Hamby, 94, widow of Paul Eston Hamby, of 171 Waters Road, formerly of Oak Hill Road, Belton, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at the University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

Born in Marietta, S.C., she was daughter of the late Dawson Dalton and Claudia King Batson. She retired from Reigel and was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church.

Surviving are daughters Doris H. Zimmerman of North Augusta, S.C., Mildred H. Chapman of Belton, S.C.; son, Jimmy Paul Hamby of Hope Hull, Ala., John W. Hamby Sr. of Belton, S.C.; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Winnie Louise Hamby; son, Robert Eston Hamby; and grandson, Brandon Newlon.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. William D. Blair and the Rev. Alan Quarles officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family members are at their respective homes and will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
