Carmi Crawford was the youngest son of Anna Croco and Ezra Crawford. He was born in 1839 and Anna Croco Crawford died in Dec 1839. His father, Ezra, remarried and had 4 more children, half-siblings of Carmi Crawford and his two brothers.
Carmi Crawford married Sarah Abigail Wheaton on March 7, 1862 in Holmes Co., OH.

Carmi Crawford was born April 20, 1839, at Holmesville , Ohio. Passed away at his home in Tonkawa, Okla., November 2, 1926, age 87 years, six months and twelve days. Married to Sarah Abigal Wheaton March 6, 1862. Six children were born to this union. One child, Austin, passed away in childhood. His wife and five children, Mrs. Nettie Yount, Frank Crawford, Mrs. Anna Kimble, W. R. Crawford and Myron Crawford, all of Tonkawa, survive him.
There are two brothers of Mr. Crawford living, Morris Crawford of Denver, Colo., and Mr. A. O. Crawford of Woodland, Calif.
He also leaves thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Crawford moved from Ohio about forty years ago and settled near WinfieId, Kans., where they lived until they came to Tonkawa about twenty-five years ago. His quiet, industrious ways and genial disposition made him the friend of all, who honored and respected him. He has gone to his reward after a long and useful life.
Funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G.W. Kimble, 704 East Grand, Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., conducted by W. E. Robinson, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial in. the I. O. O. F. cemetery, Steffe, funeral director, in charge.
