A short biography exists on Wikipedia, under "Men of 1914". /From Canada, he lived in ELTOPIA, WASHINGTON as early as (but probably before 1907, until his death in 1918. (June 6th, 1879 to March 6th, 1918). He was the original owner of the house in which I grew up at Eltopia Washington. The house had part of the front porch partitioned and made into a screened sleeping room with hooks on ceiling and wall to support a hammock. The front of the room was covered by a vine of Oregon Grape, for privacy. It is my understanding Mr. Bannerman was tubercular and needed to sleep in the fresh air.
