The death of Mrs. J. J. S. Wilson occurred this week at the home of her son, C. H. Wilson of New York, general superintendent of the American Telegraph & Telephone company. The remains will arrive in this city this morning on the Illinois Central from Chicago, accompanied by her son, C. H. Wilson and wife and a number of friends from Chicago, and will be taken to Oak Ridge cemetery and placed in the receiving vault until the funeral, which will take place at the family lot, where her husband lies buried, probably in the afternoon.

The family have many friends in Springfield where they formerly resided. Colonel Wilson was during his residence in Springfield a director of the Western Union Telegraph company. He left here twenty or more years ago and went to Chicago, and was after leaving Springfield superintendent for Illinois of the Western Union Telegraph company. He died in Chicago four years ago, and since then his widow had resided with her son, C. H. Wilson, in New York.
